We are proud to have delivered a custom trench drain system for EM Tortillas, a leading food manufacturing facility in Texas. This project marks the second collaboration between us and EM Tortillas, having previously provided drainage solutions at their California facility.
For this project, we supplied a robust 6-inch wide heavy-duty trench drain system, totaling 400 linear feet across the production floor. The custom layout, tailored to the facility's unique needs, ensures optimal drainage performance while maintaining strict hygiene standards critical in food manufacturing environments.
Advantages of the 6-Inch HDPE Trench Drain System The 6-inch wide trench drain system, constructed from durable HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), offered several key advantages for EM Tortillas' high-traffic production facility:
Heavy Load Capacity: The HDPE trench drains are designed to withstand the heavy loads typical in industrial settings, making them ideal for food processing facilities where machinery and equipment are frequently moved.
Corrosion Resistance: HDPE is highly resistant to chemicals and corrosion, which is crucial in a facility where cleaning agents and food byproducts could compromise traditional drainage materials.
Enhanced Flow Rate: The 6-inch width provides a greater capacity for water and waste runoff, ensuring efficient drainage and preventing pooling on the production floor, which could otherwise lead to safety hazards or contamination risks.
Hygienic Design: The system was equipped with hygienic steel grates, designed to meet the rigorous sanitation standards of the food industry. These grates are easy to clean and prevent the buildup of bacteria or debris, contributing to a safer production environment.
Solving Drainage Issues EM Tortillas faced drainage challenges in their previous systems, such as water pooling and slow drainage, which could interrupt production and create sanitation concerns.
